  • Search for "firewall" and open the Windows Firewall.

  • Now, add "qbw32.exe" and "qbupdate.exe" as exceptions.

  • If the firewall is blocking ports 80 and 443, allow them.

Run QuickBooks as Administrator

  • Right-click QuickBooks Desktop and opt for "Run as administrator".
